Donna, Stewart, Ken, Malory and all the staff always go above and beyond to ensure all guests can enjoy their fishing getaway. From the kind greeting when the float plane lands, to taking your gear up to your cabin and ensuring you are full from their delicious cooking, you will feel pampered in the wilderness. When I explain to friends and family where big Kaby lake is, the response is always: “o wow, you must be roughing it,” however I come clean quickly and explain its more of a glamping experience with the accommodations and how well you are treated.
The fishing speaks for itself on this lake. You can go all trip without seeing another boat and filling your live well every day. Our group tends to take a more relaxed approach when fishing for our 4 day annual trip: we don’t get on the water until 9am, stop for an hour lunch, in for a 90 minute dinner, and dock the boat by 9pm and we each average about 50-80 fish per day per person.
The views, stories and overall experience speaks for itself. There is a reason bookings are more than a year out because if you do it once, you will want to keep coming back!

Kaby Kabins without a doubt has been the best Canadian fishing experience we’ve had in 27 years. Stewart & Donna and there family treated us like family from the moment we got off the plane. Their home cooked meals were amazing the boats and cabins are superb and the fishing was Redonkulous the best we’ve ever experience.
When we spoke with the other guests that have been going there for years, they all said the same thing. Kaby Lake is so picturesque with all it’s islands and wildlife. They definitely run a first class establishment. Thanks again for such an amazing week of fishing and hospitality we’re so excited for next year.

We did a fly-in fishing trip to celebrate my retirement. A dream I’ve always had, and a retirement gift from my wife! Eight of us total. My friend has been there three times and helped my wife set it up for me. He said Agichs was the place to go, and he was sure spot on!!!! Stewart and Donna and crew work so hard to assure your stay is INCREDIBLE!!!!! I don’t understand how those few people could do so much for everyone. Feels like you’re the only people there. The food was WONDERFUL!!!! And the fishing AWESOME!!!!! Myself, my two sons a few great friends (last years group) and a bunch more guys are going back this year! I can’t believe we get to do it again! Thank you Stewart, Donna and the rest of your wonderful family! We can’t wait to see you again this year for more memories of a lifetime!!!!!

I have been returning to Kaby Cabins for 5 years now. I go in August and the fishing is fantastic. Stewart, Donna, and the whole staff work incredibly hard to make sure you are happy with your experience. You can catch your limit every day plus a bunch. A must do experience.

Our summer fishing trips rank high on our list of adventures! Massive span of Kaby Lake invites us to explore as we search for our favorite fishing hole, where the time spent at each spot delivers memories for years to come! The feel of a fish on the line is always exciting, and even better if it lands in the live well and eventually fried up and appearing on the dinner plate! The cabins are always clean and cheerfully furnished and adequate accommodations for anyone interested in spending a week in Northern Ontario! Whether it’s for fishing or relaxing and getting away from the fast pace of life, it’s always worth coming home with memories of friendships gained! From the air flight skimming over a landscape covered with nothing more than forest, rocks and all sizes of lakes to the beautiful sunsets, it’s extremely hard to capture it all on camera!

I would sincerely like to thank you for an amazing week at your camp. From the start of the trip to the finish, your family over exceeded my expectations. Everything as a whole from the cabins and scenery to the great meals made by Donna and amazing stories from Stewart. Not to mention the wild moose hunting experience and outstanding calling by my personal guide, Ken. Truly a great trip and I was lucky enough to share a first bow bull moose kill with Ken. My dad and I had the experience of a lifetime at Agich’s! We archery moose hunted continuously for seven days. The guides worked exceptionally hard to put us in front of animals and they succeeded. We could not have imagined the time and effort that was dedicated to us during our visit. Every last detail was very accommodating. The food was worth the trip alone. They treated us like family during our stay. It truly felt like we were there visiting and hunting with close friends / family even though it was our first stay at Agich’s. We will be back to hunt with the Agich’s again!
We went on a moose hunt and left with memories that will last a life time and new found friends!

Kevin and I would like to thank you folks for such a great time. From the time the plane landed to the day departed, we truly enjoyed ourselves. We caught more fish than we thought possible. Not quite every cast, but pretty close. And yes we landed both walleye and pike using flies with fly rods. You have such a First Class operation. After the first two days, we were so impressed that we made reservations for 2013.

I can state without a doubt, that Stewart is the real deal. He knows and truly understands moose behavior. To say he worked hard on this hunt, is an understatement. His vocal calling was an unbelievable experience. For me, this hunt is definitely the most exciting hunt I’ve had the opportunity to enjoy! I extend my thanks to Stewart and his family for everything! I hope that that I get another opportunity to enjoy moose hunting at Lake Kaby with the Agich’s!
Lawrence offered to take us to his favorite fishing spots to make sure we got off to a great start. With a few pointers and a couple “x”s on a map, we had no trouble finding fish. We could not ask for better hosts and outfitters, and now friends. We ate fish everyday and the deck hands had the fish filleted and at our door before we could get our gear from the boat to the cabin. The lake itself is huge and beautiful. We caught fish a just about every place we tried to fish. The shore lunch spots that are sprinkled around the lake are great spots to get out of the boat and enjoy the view. At one point, we were joking that we couldn’t troll for more than 20 minutes without catching a walleye. On an unusually windy day, we decided not to go out on the boat, and I caught 30 walleye off the dock in about an hour. We will definitely be coming back to Kaby Kabins.
Our group has been flying into remote locations for 23 years and we have been using your lodge for the past 3 years. I can say without question, your lodge has great cabins and superb boats, motors and equipment.
When spending hours on the lake, the boats are much appreciated. The electric start 25hp four stroke motors can get you to your favorite walleye spot quickly and are great when a storm is chasing you home! The flat bottom, pedestal fishing seats, live well and depth/fish finder are all great luxuries. No more back aches or dead fish on a stringer! The service is incredible and they are great hosts. The Agich family has quickly become part of our family! A great fishing experience!
I started coming to Kaby Kabins 11 years ago. Each year our group looks forward to a relaxing time with good friends, fishing and food. The level of service since the Agich’s have taken over has been outstanding and is the single reason why we will never have to look for another fishing lodge. I look forward to the years ahead when I’ll be able to bring my own son up to enjoy the experience with me.
The whole camp staff made this trip the most memorable I have ever experienced. I have never been on a fishing trip where our host’s insisted on cleaning the fish! James ran down every time our boat departed and returned to make sure we were ready to go, untieing our boats, making sure our fuel was full or coming down to gather our fish for cleaning, then he delivered the fish to our cabin. Donna and Stewart what gracious hosts! You both bent over backwards to make sure we were having a good time including sharing some hot spot fishing tips on the lake. Your sons Lawrence and Ken were so helpful with our gear, cleaning the fish, brought a fish fryer to our cabin and most touching offered to help my disabled friend to get to the dock and return to the cabin everyday. As far as I am concerned you have set the bar that all the other ourfitters in Canada should stand up and take notice. Thanks again for a wonderful week! Agich’s Kaby Kabins is first on our list for a return fly in trip!
